Dr. Malcolm Noell McLeod, MD is a trained psychiatrist and psychoanalyst who has studied depression for over thirty years. In addition to running his own private practice of psychiatry and psychoanalysis, McLeod is a clinical professor of psychiatry at the University of North Carolina (UNC) School of Medicine, as well as training and supervising psychoanalyst at the Psychoanalytic Institute of the Carolinas. McLeod is a graduate of UNC and UNC’s School of Medicine. The editorial boards of three psychiatric journals — the Journal of Clinical Psychiatry, Biological Psychiatry, and the International Journal of Neuropsychopharmacology — have published McLeod’s discoveries. The US Patent Office supports the originality of McLeod’s findings and has granted him patents covering the use of chromium alone and in combination with antidepressant medications for diurnal mood variation, winter blues, PMS, and depression. *

* The FDA has not evaluated these uses of chromium.
